Tottenham v Liverpool Starting XI’s – Antonin Kinsky Spurs debut

0 4

Tottenham Hotspur face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg this evening and the team news has just been announced.

The Carabao Cup has served as a welcome distraction from Tottenham’s indifferent Premier League form this season but come up against a tough challenge in the league leaders.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou admitted during Friday’s pre-match press conference that he had a decision to make on whether new signing Antonin Kinsky should start in goal, or whether he keeps faith with Brandon Austin or Fraser Forster who has returned to training following his illness, and opted for the new signing.

Guglielmo Vicario, Destiny Udogie, Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Ben Davies, Wilson Odobert, Richarlison remain unavailable.

Postecoglou is also unable to call upon James Maddison and Pape Matar Sarr after the midfield pair picked up two yellow cards each in the run to the semi-finals meaning they will now miss the visit of Liverpool

With Newcastle United having beaten Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates in the other semi-final first-leg, it should certainly act as enough incentive for Tottenham to also win.
