Spurs have solved their goalkeeping issues

It is clear that Tottenham did not want to wait long to solve their issues in goal since Guglielmo Vicario is out with a long-term injury and Fraser Forster picked up an illness last week, which ruled him out of the Newcastle clash.

The Lilywhites have paid £12.5m to sign Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague after the youngster impressed in his breakthrough season for the Czech giants.

The goalkeeper will now be thrown into the cauldron that is the Premier League, but he is more than confident that he can deal with the pressure and expectations that come with it.

Antonin Kinsky itching to get going at Spurs

The 21-year-old admitted that the last two years have been a whirlwind, given how quickly he has made one big step after another.

However, Kinsky insisted that he always thought he was good enough to play at the highest level and thus was not surprised when Tottenham came calling.

Speaking to Infotbal, Kinsky said about his big move: “It’s fast. When I talk to my family and friends, this is exactly what we talk about. A year and a half ago I left Vyskov and in that time I’ve come to London and I’m wearing the Tottenham shirt.

“It’s beautiful. But I believed it was going to happen, I went for it. When you put your mind to something and give it your all, it just works. That’s what’s been proven to me. I appreciate it a lot, but I’m not surprised.”

Even though Kinsky has not yet settled into his new surroundings, he already has his eye on Tottenham‘s upcoming games and is ready to make an impact.

The goalkeeper continued: “I haven’t even unpacked my bag yet, but every next game is on my mind. I’ll prepare so that I’m ready. And if the coach decides to point at me, I’ll be ready. I feel great. I’m calm in my head. I want to pick up where I left off.”
