Hard work key as Ady picks up Manager of the Month

Ady Pennock highlighted the hard work going on behind the scenes after picking up the Isthmian Premier Manager of the Month award for December.

The Darts won five and drew one to cap off a brilliant month and end to the year, that saw the team rise steadily up the table.

But for Ady, the award is for the club as a whole that he feels is moving in the right direction.

He said: “It’s all about hard work. This isn’t about one person. This award obviously comes down to my staff as well and the players and all the work that is going on behind the scenes.

“We’re building for the future. There’s still a lot of work to be done. This is for everyone in the football club and the players who have been amazing.

“It’s nice to get these awards, but we’re very focused on Saturday’s match. It shows you that we’re going in the right direction, but there’s a lot more hard work still to come.”

Dartford beat Bognor Regis Town, Horsham, Folkestone Invicta, Cray Wanderers and Canvey Island in December, sharing the spoils with Dulwich Hamlet.
