Speculation continues over Tottenham man’s future

Over the last week, there has been plenty of speculation linking Richarlison with a shock return to Brazil in the January window.

Spurs Web has relayed a number of reports from the South American country, which have revealed that various Brazilian top-flight clubs have reached out to Tottenham and the forward regarding a transfer.

However, several sources have made it clear that the 27-year-old has no intention of leaving the North London club mid-season.

Richarlison responds to latest approach

Sport Witness have now covered what the latest updates from TNT Sports and Globo Esporte have revealed about the Tottenham man’s future.

They say that Vasco da Gama president Pedrinho contacted Richarlison to ask about a move, but they add that the negotiations did not progress.

The update explains that the Spurs striker supported Vasco while growing up and even ‘thanked’ the club after they made a loan approach.

However, it is revealed that Tottenham have no interest in offloading the Brazil international mid-season, with Ange Postecoglou‘s men said to be counting on the striker.

A decent offer will give Spurs something to think about

Tottenham have absolutely no incentive to loan out Richarlison and leave themselves short of options upfront if there is another bad injury situation.

However, one would think that Spurs would be seriously tempted if a club were to arrive with an offer of £35m for the striker, given his injury record over the past 12 months.

Such an offer is not likely to arrive from Brazil, but perhaps a few European clubs could be watching the situation with interest.
