Has Manor Solomon put his injury issues behind him?

It has not been all smooth sailing for Solomon since his loan move to Leeds in the summer, with the winger spending a month on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring injury.

However, since returning to action, the on-loan Tottenham man has managed to get back into Daniel Farke’s starting eleven, and he proved his worth to the German coach against Swansea on Saturday, netting two important goals.

Solomon’s brace helps Leeds to an important three points

The 25-year-old netted his first of the game in the 20th minute, tapping home at the far post after Dan James picked him out with a lovely cross to the back post.

He then scored again in the 73rd minute, lashing home into the roof of the net with his left foot after Sam Byram squared the ball to him.

The game was an end-to-end affair, with the away side eventually running out 4-3 winners, owing to an injury-time winner by Wilfried Gnoto.

Solomon will hope this kicks him into gear

The Israeli international has had a difficult 18 months owing to injury issues and he will be desperate to get regular minutes in his legs and get his career back on track.

These goals will do wonders for his confidence and should ensure that he gets a continued run in the side for the promotion hopefuls over the coming weeks.

Unfortunately, no matter how well his loan move goes this season, I suspect Manor Solomon is playing for a transfer rather than a future at Tottenham.
