Tottenham have had a change of heart over Yang Min-hyuk
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly changed their mind over when they want summer signing Yang Min-hyuk to arrive at Hotspur Way.
Yang Min-hyuk was set to arrive at Tottenham in January
Tottenham secured Yang’s services back in the summer, deciding to swoop for the 18-year-old after he burst onto the scene at K-League at the start of this year.
The initial plan was for the pacy winger to remain at Gangwon FC for the rest of the K-League season before arriving at Hotspur Way in January.
However, it now turns out that Tottenham have had a change of heart, with the player potentially set to arrive in North London much sooner than first expected.
Spurs change their minds over Yang’s arrival
According to a report by South Korean news outlet Sports ChoSun, Spurs have now requested Yang to join their squad much earlier than originally planned.
It is explained that rather than wait until January, Ange Postecoglou‘s men now want the teenager to link up with the club as early as next month.
The K-League season will conclude on November 24 and it sounds like Spurs want the youngster to cut short his holiday and arrive in London almost immediately.
What has caused Tottenham to speed up the process
Ange Postecoglou may have made this request due to the injury crisis Spurs are facing on the left side of his attack.
With Wilson Odobert and Richarlison both out with medium-term injuries, the Australian might want another wide option to rotate his troops in the Europa League, especially with Timo Werner continuing to struggle.
He would be wary of burdening Brennan Johnson and Heung-min Son with too many minutes, thus risking them picking up injuries in the latter part of the campaign.
