Manchester United ended a five-match winless streak in all competitions with a 2-1 Premier League triumph over Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils went behind at the interval after an Ethan Pinnock goal, but they made a terrific comeback with Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund finding the net.

Marcus Rashford created the crucial equaliser in the 47th minute with a sumptuous cross from the right wing where he was chosen to start by manager Erik ten Hag.

In our opinion, Rashford should be continued in the same position, judging by his desire to make crosses into the box which has been a rarity from the left wing.

Rashford often prefers to cut inside from the left to attempt a shot on target. He managed four successful crosses from his first seven league outings this term.

However, he registered a couple of crosses in his first appearance on the right wing. One of those was pitch-perfect as Garnacho was able to score on the volley.

The 26-year-old has rarely operated from the right side of the attack for United, but yesterday’s showing indicates that he should be persisted from the position.

The £50 million-rated star managed 40 passes with an accuracy of 89%. He created four chances.

This is higher than his season average of 18 passes (77% accuracy) with 1.3 chances created.

As things stand, Garnacho is United’s main attacking threat for the Red Devils and he was splendid from the left wing yesterday with eight shots attempted.

Garnacho has been asked to start on the right to compensate for Rashford in the past, but it could be time to do the opposite over an extended run of games.

United will be in Europa League action against Fenerbahce on Thursday evening and Ten Hag should go with an unchanged attack after a return to winning ways.
