Spurs scouts impressed by South American winger, Borussia Dortmund also keen

Tottenham Hotspur have been paying close attention to one star performer emerging in the Norwegian league, but they are going to face stiff competition from German giants Borussia Dortmund if they want to sign him.

Osorio is one to watch

The problem for Tottenham is that whenever they find a hot prospect on their scouting missions, they are usually not the only club that spots the player’s talents.

That’s exactly the case with Midtjylland’s latest prodigy, Dario Osorio, who has been in great form for the Norwegian outfit both at home and in Europe.

Osorio, a 20-year-old right winger originally from Chile, has three goals and one assist across 16 appearances for Midtjylland so far this season.

According to a report from sources at GiveMeSport, Osorio is now on Tottenham’s list of transfer targets as we creep towards the January transfer window.

It is said Spurs scouts have been watching Osorio this season, and there is thought to be a great degree of hype around the young Chilean.

Spurs face competition for Osorio

However, Tottenham will need to beat off competition from a number of top clubs if they were to win the race for Osorio’s signature.

Apparently, Manchester United are also keen, while fellow Premier League clubs Crystal Palace and Brentford have also registered an interest.

Further afield, Borussia Dortmund have put Osorio on their own radar, but it is thought this is not deterring Tottenham, who are seriously considering adding the youngster to Ange Postecoglou‘s squad.

There could be a gap for Osorio at Spurs

Judging by the reports coming out lately, it would seem Spurs are indeed considering trying to sign a right-winger, which makes a lot of sense, actually.

With Dejan Kulusevski clearly more effective in the middle of the park, that leaves Brennan Johnson as our only out-and-out winger on the right now. Add someone like Osorio into that roster, and Postecoglou will have some very exciting options.
