Patriots Fans Furious After Odd Rule Overturns Go-Ahead Touchdown
The New England Patriots appeared to take the lead in the final minutes when Ja'Lynn Polk hauled in a pass for Jacoby Brissett in the back of the end zone.
Instead, Polk's heel came down on the back line of the end zone, negating the scoring play upon further review. The Patriots eventually turned the ball over on downs and could not punch the ball in with one final possession.
Patriots fans took to X to voice their frustrations about the overturned call that would have given New England a chance to close out their second win of the season.
The Patriots fall to 1-4 before hosting the 4-1 Houston Texans next Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
