Tottenham Hotspur are making advances towards signing a young German midfield starlet, Bild reveal.

Spurs transfer policy

Under Ange Postecoglou and Johan Lange, Tottenham have often prioritised signing young, up-and-coming talents over established stars.

The Australian has spoken repeatedly about how he loves working with young players as they tend to play without fear and are more open to new ideas (Chris Cowlin’s YouTube channel).

Spurs have secured some of the best young players in Europe over recent transfer windows and it now looks like they have another talented teenager in their sights.

Tottenham plotting move for Hertha Berlin youngster

According to Bild, Spurs are now making advances towards the signing of Hertha Berlin youngster Boris Mamuzah Lum, who made his senior debut for the club against SV Elversberg at the weekend.

The report claims that the defensive midfielder became the youngest player to represent Hertha in the process, at 16 years and 363 days.

However, the outlet adds that Spurs are not the only ones keen on the youngster, who is also on the radars of Manchester City, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Ajax, Red Salzburg and Barcelona.

Spurs’ invitation

Bild claim that the North London club have been interested in Lam ‘for a long time’ and are now ready to pounce.

The midfielder has allegedly visited the Premier League side’s training ground and has even attended three of their home games recently after being invited by the Lilywhites.

The Hertha academy graduate’s current deal runs until 2026 and it is revealed that the 17-year-old has a release clause of €5m (£4.1) in his contract.
