Tottenham Hotspur face a tough away trip to Brighton in the Premier League this weekend in the battle of the high lines. Let’s take a look at our predicted Spurs XI for the encounter.

We believe that Ange Postecoglou will start with Guglielmo Vicario between the sticks once more this weekend – as he will in pretty much every game this season it seems.

Pedro Porro retains his spot at right-back, despite playing in mid-week in the Europa League – and the same goes for Cristian Romero at right centre-back.

On the left side of defence, Micky Van de Ven returns after being rested on Thursday, while Destiny Udogie passes a late fitness test to start the match against Brighton.

It seems as though Rodrigo Bentancur is now Postecoglou’s first-choice in the pivot role, with Yves Bissouma rotating in for cup and Europa League matches, and that theme continues this week.

Ahead of him, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski continue to provide the creative spark for Spurs.

Up front, Dominic Solanke leads the line again after getting a rest against Ferencvaros, while Brennan Johnson will hope to make it six goals in six games on the right side of the attack.

Despite some poor form in front of goal, we expect Timo Werner to remain in the starting XI, particularly because his pace in behind could be a real weapon against Brighton’s high line.
