NFL Insider Believes Patriots Should Target This Offensive Tackle In 2025 Draft

With the way the Patriots season is going so far, it makes sense to project New England will be in line for a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. And it's never too early to begin scouting positions and players that Eliot Wolf and company could select with their first pick.

NFL draft analyst and insider Matt Miller believes Texas A&M tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. would make perfect sense for the Patriots given how porous their offensive line has been through four games.

"Kelvin Banks just plays with more smooth ability," Miller said on NESN's "Boston Has Entered The Chat" on Thursday. "I think the agility to work left or right in the run game is very impressive. He gets downfield well and he attacks linebackers with accuracy. Just to have that flexibility and agility to get to that second level as consistently as he does in fantastic."

Miller added that the lone question about Banks in pass protection is due to his size. Banks is listed at 6-foot-4, so Miller defers to the third-year offensive lineman's footwork.

"Are you a good enough athlete to cover that lack of length up with your feet?" Miller asked. "He absolutely has that. ... I think Banks is far and away the superior tackle. ... Banks is in a tier all by himself."
