He’s Getting Fitter And Fitter – Philippe Clement Pleased With Rangers Star

Rangers boss Philippe Clement is of the view that Gers star Tom Lawrence’s fitness is improving with time and thinks that the player’s development will be crucial for the team.

 

Last season Lawrence had a stop-start campaign as the attacker was marred by injuries that forced him to miss a large number of games.

 

This season Lawrence has featured in all five league games and on Sunday scored against Dundee United to help Rangers to a 1-0 victory.

 

 

Clement stated that he is happy at Lawrence registering his second goal of the season at the weekend and pointed out that the midfielder’s off the ball movement against Dundee United pleased him.

 

Rangers boss claimed Lawrence is getting fitter and fitter as the season progresses and stressed the importance of him staying fit to help his team.

 

 

“Tom is getting fitter and fitter”, Clement was quoted as saying by BBC Scotland.

 

“Last season, he had several injuries.

 

 

“It’s important he can continue in this way.

 

“We’re very pleased about the goal, but also his play without ball.”

 

Lawrence has contributed to goals and one assist so far this season and he will be determined to improve his fitness to aid Rangers in their season objectives.
