Team News: Edinburgh Derby (H)

Ahead of the first Edinburgh Derby of the 2024/25 season, Head Coach Grant Scott opts to make two changes to his Hibernian FC starting XI.

Current Hibs top scorer Kathleen McGovern returns to the starting line-up for tonight’s Capital Cup clash at Easter Road

The Hibs number 10 has found the net six times already this season and has the opportunity this evening to get one over on her former club. 

Tegan Bowie also returns after dropping to the bench for the first time this season during last week’s goalless draw versus Celtic. 

The speedy winger was brought on in the first-half due to an enforced change and put in a solid shift in both defence and attack versus a capable Celtic side.

Forward pair Abbie Ferguson and Eilidh Adams drop out of the XI, but both remain available and are listed on the bench. 

Ellis Notley retains the captain’s armband in the absence of skipper Rachael Boyle.

We are also delighted to welcome back Notley’s fellow vice-captain Poppy Lawson, with the centre-back returning to the bench following a spell on the sidelines.
