Sheffield Wednesday Star Training With Senior England Squad Today

One of Sheffield Wednesday’s stars is today training with the senior England squad, according to the Sun.

 

The Owls have had a difficult season so far under Danny Rohl, with the German now having a job on his hands to live up to expectations after last season’s great escape.

 

Rohl saw his side well beaten 3-0 away at Millwall in the Championship on Saturday.

 

 

Goalkeeper James Beadle, on loan at the Owls from Brighton, conceded the three goals, but now he has turned the page and is training with the senior England side.

 

Interim boss Lee Carsley, at the helm after Gareth Southgate’s resignation, has drafted Beadle in for training.

 

 

The shot-stopper will be keen to make the most of the experience of facing the best players England has to offer.

 

England are preparing for Nations League matches against the Republic of Ireland and Finland over the international break.

 

 

Beadle has been picked in the England Under-21s squad for games against Northern Ireland and Austria.

 

Wednesday next play QPR at home and Beadle will be keen for a clean sheet after keeping just one this season.
