Alasdair Gold reveals big decisions Ange Postecoglou now faces in next few hours

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold reveals that Ange Postecoglou faces some big decisions, not only having to potentially move a couple of players on but also having to potentially leave one player out of the club’s Europa League squad.

The transfer window closed in England and in most of the countries around Europe on Friday, however, it remained open for a couple of more days in the Netherlands, Portugal and Saudi Arabia.

However, even those which shut on Monday, has means that Sergio Reguilon‘s options of an exit have now decreased, with only the Greek and the Turkish windows still open.

Gold explained that Ange Postecoglou will face a decision regarding whether to integrate the Spaniard into his Tottenham first-team squad if he stays while the Spurs boss also has to decide whether or not to loan out Alfie Devine so that the attacking midfielder can get some game time.

The Europa League deadline is looming

The journalist further goes on to explain that the Lilywhites will have to submit their 25-man List A squad for the Europe League by 11 pm this evening and they are in a position where they would have to leave one player out.

I would expect Postecoglou to leave Reguilon out of the Europa League squad as it is clear that the 27-year-old is not in his plans.

Devine will also likely stay put as Tottenham would have sent him to the Championship if they wanted to loan him out, rather than him head off to the likes of Saudi.
