Ivan Toney to be one of England’s highest paid players after 1000% PAY RISE as he makes £40million Saudi transfer

IVAN TONEY is now one of England’s highest paid stars after making his deadline day switch to Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli landed their man after a drawn out negotiation that will see Toney, 28, pocket a handsome pay packet.

They agreed to pay Brentford some £40m, after Toney had been frozen out by the Bees this season amid the transfer speculation.

But Toney will be seeing much more cash than that with the England international penning a deal worth £84MILLION.

According to the Mirror, Toney will be pocketing £403,000-per-week, including bonuses, in the Middle East.

That’s the equivalent of £800,000-per-week before tax in the UK.

And that mega wage will make the ex-Northampton Town and Peterborough player the second highest paid English footballer in the game.

It’s also a 1000 PER CENT increase on his previous deal with Brentford where he was understood to be earning a comparatively measly £36,000-per-week.

Toney’s colossal contract is only eclipsed by Harry Kane when it comes to English players, who is said to earn just shy of £410,000-a-week at Bayern Munich.

While Toney pips Jude Bellingham to second place with England’s biggest star pocketing close to £340,000-a-week at Real Madrid – making him the third highest earner.

Raheem Sterling ranks fourth on the list, with the new Arsenal loanee’s wages of £325,000-a-week being covered by both the Gunners and Chelsea for the season.

Manchester United and Manchester City stars Marcus Rashford and Jack Grealish both earn a cool £300,000-a-week.

Four English footballers are earning £250,000-a-week, those being; Mason Mount, John Stones, Reece James and Jadon Sancho.

The latter completed a loan move to Chelsea from Man Utd on deadline day, but it is currently unclear what his wage situation is at the Blues.

Arsenal‘s Declan Rice rakes in £240,000-a-week while Phil Foden is on £225,000-a-week at Man City.

Ben Chilwell and Conor Gallagher are the final Three Lions on at least £200,000-a-week, while Bukayo Saka is just shy of this figure on £195,000.

Harry Maguire, who was recently seen playing bingo at a Haven holiday park, earns £190,000 per week.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is the only Liverpool star on the list and brings in £180,000 a week, slightly more than Kyle Walker‘s £175,000-a-week wages.

James Maddison is also the only player from his club on the list on £150,000-a-week.

Ben White and Luke Shaw then both earn £150,000 a week at Arsenal and Man Utd respectively.

Interim England manager Lee Carsley announced his first England squad earlier this week.

Incredibly, only eight of the top 20 most-paid Three Lions stars made the cut for the games against the Republic of Ireland and Finland.
