Casemiro may have taken a lot of flack for his performance in Manchester United’s defeat against Liverpool yesterday, but video highlights on social media show that Bruno Fernandes also had an absolute shocker in this big game.
The Portugal international is a real fan-favourite at Old Trafford and has undoubtedly done a lot to earn that status after plenty of outstanding individual performances down the years, but it’s also fair to give him criticism when it’s due as well.

Fernandes will surely look back at this performance and know he should have done a lot better, but one imagines a fair few Red Devils fans will be concerned about what this means for his role in the side this season.
The 29-year-old is good enough to turn it around, but it’s a concern if even someone as good as he is is starting to go backwards under Erik ten Hag.
Casemiro made the more obvious errors as his dire first half display directly led to Liverpool’s first two goals, but there could surely have been a route back into the game for United if Fernandes had played better than this.
