A SCOTTISH football commentator was subjected to a foul-mouthed tirade by a fan after a dramatic Motherwell winner.

Moses Ebiye netted a 94th-minute strike as the Steelmen beat St Johnstone 2-1.

The Motherwell TV commentator, who was in the stands at St Johnstone, said: “Brilliant, brilliant, the St Johnstone fans in front of me are not very happy. I don’t care.”

A fan could be heard screaming an X-rated response.

Live on air, he said: “See that microphone? I’m gonna shove it so far up your a*** you’ll never be able to get the fucker out!”

The commentator continued: “There you go, St Johnstone fans delighted, I hope you picked that up. Ridiculous.”

Dan Casey put Motherwell ahead early yesterday but Benjamin Kimpioka pulled his side level.

Thankfully for the visitors, Ebiye nodded home in the dying seconds to earn a deserved Scottish Premiership win.

Motherwell boss Stuart Kettlewell said: “It was a trait we’ve had for the last 19 months or so that I’ve been here as a manager that we do score a lot of late goals, and we’re going to need that over the course of the season.

“It’s a brilliant way to celebrate, going into the international break, but we’re going to need more of that, going into the season, no doubt.

“It’s great. Genuinely, you see the elation from myself, the staff and my players, and especially supporters – it’s a great way to enjoy your weekend.

“We stuck with it, we believed that we could get a winner, and I think you could see that in the changes we and St Johnstone made – both teams were trying to win the game.

“But it’s a brilliant feeling for us at our club, it keeps that wee bit of consistency going from us.

“Moses is that laid-back, but he got the final touch on it, and that’s what we thought we were bringing to the club, someone who sniffs out a chance, sniffs out a goal, and he’s done it a few times for us already.

“Again, we’re going to need more of that from him over the course of the season.”

Can you name the famous fathers?
