Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Giovani Lo Celso’s deadline day move to Real Betis is worth €10m (£8.4m) to Tottenham, with the deal also involving several additional perks to the North London club.

While the writing seemed to be on the wall for Lo Celso right from the start of the summer, it took until the final hours of the transfer deadline day for the midfielder to eventually seal an exit from Spurs.
After months of speculation, the 28-year-old did make a long-awaited return to Real Betis, five years on from his move to Spurs from the La Liga side.
Spurs earn £8.4m from Lo Celso sale
Gold has now revealed that the deal is worth €10m (£8.4m) plus add-ons and a sell-on clause, which ensures that Tottenham will benefit from any future sale of the Argentine.
In addition, the journalist confirmed that as a part of the deal, Spurs have also acquired an option to sign midfielder Johnny Cardoso in the future.
Gold wrote: ‘Giovani Lo Celso leaves Spurs to return to Real Betis. Understand the deal will be worth 10m euros (£8.4m) to Tottenham, plus add-ons and a sell-on clause.’

Given the circumstances and the timing of the deal, all-in-all, this is by no means a terrible deal for Tottenham, especially considering that Lo Celso could have left for a fraction of this fee in January or on a free next summer.
At the moment, Real Betis have secured a real steal at that price, but Tottenham’s clause for Johnny Cardoso might come good in the next year.
