Newcastle United Might Snub Alternative To Marc Guehi

Newcastle United may not sign another centre-back if they fail to land Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline, according to the Daily Mail.

 

The 24-year-old centre-back has been Eddie Howe’s top defensive target in the ongoing transfer window.

 

However, Newcastle have had four bids rejected by Crystal Palace for Guehi and the Eagles are not prepared to lower their £70m asking price.

 

 

With a day left in the transfer window, Newcastle are now unlikely to succeed in getting their hands on the Crystal Palace defender.

 

It has been claimed that Newcastle could even opt against signing a defender if they do not end up getting Guehi.

 

 

Howe has been clear about wanting to sign the Crystal Palace centre-back in the ongoing transfer window.

 

The Newcastle manager is unlikely to sign another centre-back if he fails to land his top target.
