U18s Edinburgh Derby Preview

The first wee Edinburgh Derby takes place this Friday afternoon at Oriam – read the full match preview below!

The two capital clubs meet for the first time this Friday (30 August). The match takes place at Oriam with a 2pm kick-off.

The wee Hibees are currently enjoying an unbeaten start to the CAS Elite Youth League. After five games, Darren McGregor’s side have picked up three wins (beating St Mirren, Aberdeen and Motherwell) and picking up a point against both Kilmarnock and most recently Rangers.

Dean Cleland scored twice in the last 15 minutes against The Gers to rescue a 2-2 draw at HTC last Friday. The Hibees were suffered an injury blow, however, with Josh Landers forced off after landing awkwardly on his arm.

Up next, we face a Hearts side who have had a mixed start to their campaign.

The wee Jambos have suffered heavy defeats to Dundee United (6-1) and Celtic (7-2), but beat Hamilton (4-2) and Queen’s Park (4-3).
