These Top Red Sox Prospects Already Dominating Triple-A After Promotions

The Boston Red Sox ignited their next youth boost in recent weeks with Triple-A Worcester as the destination.

The top prospect of trio of Marcelo Mayer, Roman Anthony and Kyle Teel got the call first, followed by surging talent Kristian Campbell one week later.

Over the last week, Anthony and Campbell have done nothing but hit, making plenty of noise in their first few games at Triple-A in the Red Sox organization.

Anthony continued a summer power surge from his time with Double-A Portland. The Red Sox's No. 2 prospect slashed .341/.408/.614 with three home runs and 1.022 OPS.

As for Campbell, he made his opening-week statement with a multi-homer game on Friday while slashing .421/.450/.790 with a 1.240 OPS through his first four games.

The duo helped the WooSox finish the week strong with a 13-0 win on Sunday. Anthony drove in a run while Campbell scored two more for the Red Sox affiliate.

Boston is ready to have a massive injection of young talent into the MLB core as early as next season. Anthony and Campbell are showing why the ballclub have youth to build on. Combined with the eventual emergence with Mayer and Teel, this group marks the center of the franchise's future.
