Red Sox Star Prospect Belts Moonshot In Second Straight Game
Boston Red Sox top prospect Roman Anthony has had no issues adjusting to Triple-A pitching since his prominent call up last week.
The 20-year-old outfielder is on a torrid pace at the plate and he continued his hot streak right away Saturday night.
Anthony led off Worcester's game against the Norfolk Tides with a solo home run to right field. It was his third homer in just 11 Triple-A games. He's also batting a robust .341 with a 1.022 OPS and eight RBIs.

The round-tripper paled in comparison to the blast he hit Friday night. Anthony crushed a moonshot that went 433 feet and went over the scoreboard at Harbor Park in a showcase of his immense power.
Anthony, who is ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the Red Sox farm system by MLB Pipeline, certainly is displaying all of his tools just one step away from the big leagues and it's hard not to marvel at all of them. He's now up 18 home runs with 53 RBIs and a .278 batting average across 95 games split between Double-A Portland and Worcester.
Anthony is by far off to the best start at Triple-A out of any of Boston's "Big Three" prospects. Marcelo Mayer has yet to see the field as he landed on the injured list with a hip and back ailment while Kyle Teel is batting just .086.
