Did Bills’ Josh Allen Take Subtle Jab At Former Teammate Stefon Diggs?

Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs elevated the Buffalo Bills to new heights during four years together with 37 touchdown connections.

That duo took a turn amid trade rumors that ultimately led to the All-Pro wideout being dealt to the upstart Houston Texans, adding a big boost to the reigning AFC South champions.

This will be the first time since 2019 that Allen will take the field to enter a season without that receiver that totally changed his potential in the NFL. Will Allen miss that production for the Bills?

"Stef's a great player," Allen told reporters on Wednesday, per team-provided video. "What he brought to this team was special. Miss? I don't know if I'd say miss. He was a guy that was reliable. You could can look to (him). He's gonna have the juice each and every day. I'm sure he's bringing it over there in Houston."

Is that noteworthy?

In the moment, yes. That's before the Bills star quarterback explained his position and raved over Diggs' elite production and consistency over his tenure in Buffalo, making a "heavy workload" for current pass-catchers to meet.

"You can't say that you don't miss that," Allen added. "I am very happy with what we've got going on here and how hard the guys have been working."

The Bills set out for the chance to win the AFC East for the fifth consecutive season.
