Leeds United Continue Efforts To Land Key Target But No Quick Deal Expected

0 3

Leeds United are continuing talks to sign a key attacking target, but movement before their Championship opener is not expected, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Whites boss Daniel Farke recently suffered a blow when Crysencio Summerville moved to West Ham United and it has left the German with big boots to fill.

The Yorkshire giants have a clear idea of who they want to do the job and have been making efforts to sign Jonathan Rowe from Norwich City.

Norwich are reluctant sellers, but Leeds feel a deal could be done and talks with the Canaries are ongoing.

With the Championship kicking off this weekend though, Leeds do not think there will be big movement ahead of it.

Doing a deal to sign Rowe, if it is even possible, is likely to be complex and will likely not be done quickly.

Norwich have little financial need to cash in and have just sold midfielder Gabriel Sara to Galatasaray for around £20m.

Selling Rowe to Championship promotion rivals would also likely be a move which would not go down well with the Canaries faithful.
