Brighton Reject Fresh Bid For Star

Napoli have failed with another bid for Brighton midfielder Billy Gilmour who is a top target for the Serie A giants this summer.

 

The Scottish midfielder has emerged as one of Napoli’s primary targets in the ongoing transfer window.

 

Antonio Conte worked with Gilmour at Chelsea and is pushing to take him to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona this summer.

 

 

Brighton rejected a bid from Napoli earlier in the window but the Serie A giants went in with another offer in recent hours.

 

According to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia, the Serie A giants failed with another bid worth €10m plus add-ons.

 

 

The new offer was not good enough for Brighton to sanction the midfielder’s sale in the ongoing transfer window.

 

It has been claimed that Brighton want a base fee of €12m plus another €3m in add-ons if they are to sell him.

 

 

Napoli have gone back to the drawing board and are working on tabling an improved offer for Gilmour this summer.
