MANCHESTER CITY have accepted a bid for Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid.

The striker hinted he could leave this summer – putting a number of clubs on alert including Arsenal.

Alvarez became an important player for City last season

Alvarez complained about being left out of some of City’s biggest matches over the last two years.

He revealed he would take time to consider his future after Argentina were knocked out of the Olympics.

And he now has a decision to make after City accepted an offer worth £81.5million from Atletico.

Atletico have offered £64.4m up front plus £17m in add-ons in what would be a record sale for City.

Alvarez, 24, is yet to agree personal terms with the LaLiga giants.

The forward moved to the Etihad for just £14m only two years ago, and helped the club win the Treble in his first season before winning the title again last term.

He made more appearances than any other City player last season but is unhappy at being left out of key games.

Alvarez said: “Last season, I was one of the City players with the most minutes on the team.
