Fulham were in action on Monday night losing a pre-season friendly against La Liga outfit Sevilla with the match seeing new signing Emile Smith Rowe score a diving header on his debut.
The midfielder joined Fulham this summer as part of a deal that could rise to £34m having been at Arsenal his whole career.
The Englishman would have wanted to have been a success at the Gunners but fell down Mikel Arteta’s pecking order at the Emirates Stadium over recent seasons, which forced him to look elsewhere for minutes.
Smith Rowe made his first appearance in a Fulham shirt on Monday as the Premier League club faced Sevilla in a pre-season friendly and the 24-year-old got off to a flyer, scoring a diving header seven minutes into his debut.
Arsenal fans won’t believe that the player produced a moment like this so quickly into his time at Craven Cottage, but they will undoubtedly be happy for their former player.
