Tottenham are being linked with Dominic Solanke

Solanke was one of the best strikers on show in the Premier League last term, notching up an impressive tally of 19 league goals, even though he played for a side that finished 12th in the table.

His exploits have seemingly attracted the attention of Tottenham, who are allegedly after a new number nine.

This information was carried on Thursday by Fabizio Romano, who revealed that the 26-year-old was one of the strikers that Ange Postecoglou’s men are looking at.

Football.London have now also backed up Tottenham’s interest in Solanke, stating that he ‘fits the bill’ for what the North London side are looking for.

However, they claim that it could take as much as £60m to prise the 26-year-old away from the Vitality Stadium this summer.

The outlet adds that the Cherries are bracing themselves for the departure of their star striker this summer amidst Spurs’ interest.

In fact, they reveal that Andoni Iraola’s men have already identified Aston Villa forward Cameron Archer as a potential replacement for Solanke.

Spurs Web Opinion

These updates along with Postecoglou’s recent admission about wanting a number nine seem to suggest that Spurs are imminently going to make a move for Solanke.

However, whether or not they would be willing to offer £60m for the former Liverpool man remains to be seen.
