THE LOWDOWN

David Gray’s side travel to Paisley this Sunday (4 August) as we begin our league campaign on the road.

The Hibees come into this one after a solid pre-season, which included a week’s training camp in the Netherlands.

During the month of July, we successfully booked our place in the Second Round of the Premier Sports Cup, after topping Group C with wins over Peterhead, Queen’s Park and Elgin City.

TEAM NEWS

Four new recruits have joined the Club over the summer – with Joe Bursik, Jordan Smith, Marvin Ekpiteta and Warren O’Hora all penning deals during the transfer window and could make their league debuts this weekend.

Both Warren O’Hora and Chris Cadden are back in training following knocks, whilst Harry McKirdy is being monitored after he missed last weekend’s match with Peterhead due to illness. Elie Youan is the only player unavailable for selection due to injury.

David Gray will provide a full team news update when he speaks to the media on Thursday afternoon.

After securing a fifth-place finish last season, St Mirren are competing in Europe for the first time in 37 years.

The Buddies drew 0-0 with Icelandic side Valur in their Europa Conference League Second Round qualifier in Reykjavík with the return leg taking place in Paisley on Thursday (1 August).
