Report: Spurs outcast is now the ‘favourite’ target for Sevilla manager

Tottenham’s mission to move on all the deadwood in their squad has gone pretty well so far this summer. Now, according to reports from Spain, another exit could be on the horizon.

Sergio to Sevilla?

Sergio Reguilon has spent very little time at Tottenham over the last couple of seasons, and it’s very unlikely he will have much to do in North London in the upcoming campaign.

According to a report from Vamos Mi Sevilla, Reguilon could find himself at Sevilla this season, as the Spanish outfit are looking to get rid of their current left-backs, and they have the Spurs man on their list as a replacement.

For Adrià Pedrosa, Ludwig Augustinsson, and Marcos Acuña the future is uncertain. The former pair may be moved on, while the latter is looking to leave also.

Sevilla manager, García Pimienta, and sporting director Víctor Orta, have earmarked Reguilon as his “favourite” target this summer to solve the issue down the left side.

Having been on loan at Sevilla in the 2019/20 season, it is thought Reguilon “would be willing to return” once more.

The only catch is Sevilla would prefer a loan move, while Tottenham are eager to sell the Spaniard.

Reguilon destined for a return to Spain

All signs point to Reguilon heading back to his homeland this summer in some way, shape, or form. A report from El Mira last week named Sevilla as a likely destination.

A previous report from Vamos Mi Sevilla claimed Reguilon’s agent had spoken to Sevilla about arranging a switch.

It would be very frustrating if we were only able to shift Reguilon on another loan move this summer, but just like Bryan Gil, he simply cannot stay at the club so we will have to take what we can get. At least we can hopefully save on some wages.
