“We want to put things right” said Jordan Obita as he looked ahead to this Saturday’s game against Peterhead.

Following last weekend’s defeat to Kelty Hearts, Hibs have to win on Saturday to progress into the next round of the Premier Sports Cup.

Obita, well aware of the permutations around the game, explained to Hibs TV that the players see this as a must-win.

“The atmosphere has been good this week. We’ve worked really hard on the training pitch, and we want to put things right from the last game.

"We want to be positive and make sure we get the win to progress through to the next round. Pre-season went really well and we got results against top opposition like PAOK. We let ourselves down against Kelty, so we want to put that right and top the group.”

Obita has been part of a back four/five this season alongside new signings Marvin Ekpiteta and Warren O’Hora. He explained what that’s been like for him and how they’ve settled in.

“The two new boys have done really well. They’re really vocal on the pitch and a big presence as well. They’re both big lads and they’ve done well since they’ve been here.

“Young Kanayo (Megwa) has done well too. There’s a lot of competition for that right back slot and I think he’s done really well.”
