Rangers Star Makes ‘I Am Quite Mad’ Admission After Birmingham Game

0 2

Rangers star Leon Balogun has pulled no punches after the Gers suffered defeat against Birmingham City in a friendly match last night.

The Scottish giants travelled to England last night to take on League One outfit Birmingham City and they lost the match 2-1 with a performance which was roundly criticised and added to the sense of unease around Rangers’ preparations.

36-year-old German defender Balogun showed his discontent after the match and he insisted that it is hard to take positives after a game like that.

The veteran Gers man insisted that they need to minimise their number of mistakes in the upcoming season and did not hold himself back while talking about their performance against the Blues.

“That’s the bit [to learn over pre-season] where you have to leave the emotions out, but it’s after the final whistle so I am quite mad right now”, Balogun told Rangers TV after the Gers suffered defeat against Birmingham City.

“I am pretty sure there will be good things even though right now this is hard to imagine.

“We are still learning, we still have a lot of young players in the team, a few new players in the team.

“There will be mistakes made, we made a lot today and we just need to make sure, because there is ten days to the kick-off of the season, that we eradicate them.

“And even throughout the season there will be mistakes but we have to minimise them.

“We have to make sure that we do not make the type of mistakes we have done today.”

Now Balogun and his team-mates will be looking to redeem themselves in the pre-season match against Union Berlin this weekend.
