Academy graduate, Rudi Molotnikov was delighted to score his first senior goal on what was his first start for Hibs at Easter Road!

Martin Boyle (x2), Warren O'Hora and Dylan Levitt were all on target, with Rudi also finding the back of the net with a smart finish in the first-half.

The 18-year-old continues his excellent start to the 2024/25 campaign and picked up the Premier Sports Player of the Match for his impressive performance.

Speaking to Hibs TV after the match, Rudi told us how special a moment it was to score his first goal.

“I saw the ball drop to Josh Campbell and it was a perfect pass from him, I couldn’t have asked for it to be any better.

“I’ve been thinking about that moment since I was young and for it to happen tonight with my family in the stands was perfect.”

The 18-year-old has made a strong start under David Gray with two excellent performances and is determined to impress at every opportunity.

“As a team we’re really together and it’s really positive.

“I can tell that this team wants to kick on and the Gaffer has got how he wants us to play and how we should play as a team, and it’s working.

“Everyone wants to play and I’m just looking to start when I can. There’s a long way to go but I’m really happy with the first two games.”
