Another highly-rated youngster who has been linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in recent weeks is Desire Doue.
Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on the transfer activity surrounding the talented winger by revealing Paris Saint-Germain have now tabled a proposal to Rennes.

PSG’s contact with their Ligue 1 counterparts comes on the back of Bayern Munich‘s failed initial offer to take the 19-year-old to the Bundesliga as part of new manager Vincent Kompany’s side.
Le Parisien reported last week that Bayern saw an opening offer of €35m (£29.4m), with bonuses included rejected out of hand by Rennes, who believe they could attract a club-record fee for the versatile midfielder.
Rennes have previously sold Jeremy Doku to Manchester City in a £55.5m deal last summer (Sky Sports).
Romano took to social networking platform X to reveal: “Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race for Désiré Doué with proposal to Rennes, as expected.
“Bayern are still there after opening bid rejected, both clubs keep insisting to sign the French gem.”

With two European giants having now shown their hand with their interest in Desire Doue, it looks like it could be a difficult deal for Tottenham to look to complete.
Doue is now faced with the potential of remaining in his homeland to play for the biggest side in France or move to Bayern, who are Champions League regulars and usually serial winners aside from last season’s blip.
How Tottenham can compete both on this level and a financial level with the might of the two abovementioned clubs makes me think that they will have to move on to other targets.
