Report: Juventus plot a move for winger who is rumoured to be of interest to Spurs

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are now considering a move for Porto winger Francisco Conceicao, who is rumoured to be of interest to Tottenham as well as several other Premier League sides.

Who is Francisco Conceicao?

Conceicao is coming off an outstanding campaign for Porto and the 21-year-old hit the limelight at the Euros, showcasing his talent on the big stage.

The left-footed winger, who prefers playing on the right, made four appearances in the tournament for Portugal and scored a dramatic last-minute winner in the group stage against Czechia.

It was reported by HITC last week that Spurs had been alerted to the youngster’s talent while the likes of Chelsea, Fulham and West Ham had also been keeping an eye on the player.

The report explained that those clubs have to act fast since the Porto youngster’s release clause was set to increase from £25m to £38m this week.

Juventus now enter the race for Conceicao

If Gazzetta’s latest update is to be believed, Tottenham have even more competition to contend with in the race for Conceicao’s signature, with Juve now entering the race.

The outlet reveals that the Bianconeri are keen on adding a winger to their squad to replace Federico Chiesa, who is expected to be sold, and they have now identified Conceicao as a target.

The publication adds that the Serie A giants have asked Porto to keep them informed of any developments on the Portugal international’s future.

If Tottenham or any of the other clubs held a serious interest in Conceicao, they would have looked to strike a deal when his release clause was at £25m.

With the clause now reportedly set to increase, the deal would become a lot harder to pull off.
