England Job Would Appeal To Thomas Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel would be interested in the prospect of succeeding Gareth Southgate as England manager this summer.

 

Southgate has stepped down as England manager following the Three Lions’ second successive defeat in a European Championship final on Sunday.

 

The FA are now in the process of identifying a new manager and Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe is believed to be their top target.

 

 

However, the FA would also reportedly consider the option of looking at Tuchel as the next England boss.

 

According to German daily Bild, the former Chelsea boss would also be interested if he is offered the job.

 

 

The German is keen to return to football and held talks with Manchester United at the end of last season.

 

Tuchel’s plan was to take a year off from the game but he would be open to changing that plan if the FA offered him the England job.

 

 

He previously had his eyes on the England job when Southgate was being criticised following the defeat in the final of the 2021 European Championship.
