It is a part of the game, and it is naive to expect any player to desist. It is nota Jude thing, itsa football thing. He felt a touch and was entitled to go down, we hear the commentators say.

The referees were supposed to be clamping down on it a couple of years ago and they did to some extent. As ever though it was inconsistently applied.. There is a bit of a difference, though in that you’re not guaranteed the free kick just for falling over.

Cole Palmer for instance fell over just before Spain second expecting a free kick which never came leaving defence exposed, the bloody fool.

Anyway, Jude is one of our own so let’s not join in the backlash
