According to Estadio Deportivo, Real Betis believe that time is on their side in their pursuit of Giovani Lo Celso as Tottenham will be forced to drop their asking price later in the summer.

The report backs up what we have heard from various sources over the last few weeks, stating that Betis are ready to play the long game to bring Lo Celso back to the club, five years on from his departure.

The La Liga side have maintained ‘informal contacts’ with the Tottenham man about a potential summer transfer, making it clear that they want him back.

In fact, it is said that the Seville-based club have identified the midfielder as their priority target and they believe there is a deal to be done since the player has just a year left on his contract.
