You don't get to buy young players at a price based on current abilityIt's personal opinion isn't it, I think the value they offered is closer to his real value, based on ability and where he currently is, than ours. Now, fair play to us for putting this value on him and sticking to it, it's essentially a value that prices him out of the market unless someone is willing to pay way over the odds, which is probably what our intent was. Declan Rice was at the top of his game, a regular international and the valuation probably wasn't that far off for someone of his ability, but they still tried to get him cheaper
