Report: Barcelona make the first move for youngster also linked with Spurs
According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Barcelona have now launched an offer for Hull City starlet Jaden Philogene, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Tottenham have secured the services of one of the best young talents in the EFL, with Archie Gray completing a switch from Leeds United to N17 on Tuesday.
The Lilywhites are thought to also have their eye on another Championship starlet, with TEAMtalk previously claiming that Spurs had been impressed by Philogene’s displays at the MKM Stadium and were leading the race for his signature.
The winger, who scored 12 goals and provided six assists in the Championship last term, was also said to be on the radar of Spurs’ local rivals West Ham (Football Insider).
Barcelona make a move for Philogene
It turns out that it is Barca who have made their first move in the race for Philogene, with Plettenberg revealing that the La Liga giants’ interest in the Hull star is concrete.
The journalist took to social media to state that the Catalan giants have launched a loan offer with an obligation to buy for around €20m-€23m (£17m-£19.5m).
It is explained that as per the proposal, the obligation to buy the 22-year-old will only become active if he gets a certain amount of game time at Camp Nou next season.

Hull have little to gain by accepting this offer as Barca would be taking on almost no risk.
One would think that the Championship club could get a much better deal if they sold Philogene to the Premier League, particularly with the likes of Spurs and West Ham circling.
