Report: Inter Milan and AC Milan both want to sign the same Tottenham star

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Inter Milan have joined local rivals AC Milan in the race for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s signature.

The report backs up what is an open secret by now, stating that Hojbjerg’s four-year spell at Tottenham is expected to come to an end this summer.

It is pointed out that the Lilywhites are now listening to offers for the 28-year-old, who has just one year left on his contract in N17.

It is suggested that the former Southampton man will be on the move now that Denmark’s Euros campaign has come to an end.

TMW say that Milan had previously expressed an interest in bringing Hojbjerg to the San Siro and Inter have now done the same.

It is suggested that the two Serie A giants could now be set for a fierce battle for the 28-year-old’s signature over the coming weeks.

The report claims that Tottenham want €15m for the midfielder, which would not be a problem for the two Italian sides but the Dane’s €3.3m per year salary might be a stumbling block.

The publication adds that Hojbjerg might be persuaded to lower his salary demands if he is handed a longer contract.
