Sir Jim Ratcliffe takes charge with dramatic coaching shake-up at Man United - Fabrizio Romano

0 0

Manchester United are orchestrating a sweeping transformation in their backroom staff ahead of the 2024/25 season.

According to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano, United are planning to add Go Ahead Eagles manager Rene Hake to Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff at Old Trafford.

They have already approached former striker Ruud van Nistelrooy to join the coaching set-up.

Co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been very vocal about building a good structure and environment to help the manager succeed.

The recent moves from the British billionaire demonstrate he is willing to put his words into action.

Hake is an interesting choice, considering he is the current head coach of the Eredivisie club Go Ahead Eagles.

They finished in ninth place in the league table last campaign, only eight points behind European giants Ajax.

It is still unclear what roles Hake and Van Nistelrooy will play at Man United.

However, having them around Ten Hag could help him improve his in-game management which has not been very impressive at times.

The move for Hake and Van Nistelrooy also casts major doubts over the futures of current assistants Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren.

The futures of Benni McCarthy and Darren Fletcher also remain unclear.
