Report: Premier League club is worried about losing player as Tottenham circle

GiveMeSport have revealed that concerns are now growing at Crystal Palace over losing Eberechi Eze this summer as the likes of Tottenham circle over the midfielder.

Tottenham want Eberechi Eze this summer

The report points out that losing Michael Olise to Bayern Munich has already come as a blow to Oliver Glasner as he puts plans in place for his first full season in charge at the club.

It is said that there are now worries at the South London club that Olise might not be the only big-name player to leave.

The report says that the concern at Palace is that Olise’s departure will also make Eze more receptive to offers from big clubs.

There is also the fact that Eze has a release clause this summer, meaning his future is largely out of the hands of Crystal Palace themselves.

Crystal Palace are worried about losing Eze

The outlet names Tottenham as one of the clubs who have been keeping tabs on the England international but it is suggested that there are some doubts over whether the Lilywhites would be willing to meet the 25-year-old’s release clause, which stands at around £60m.

With Arsenal also watching Eze’s situation, the publication adds that the personnel behind the scenes at Selhurst Park are ‘growing increasingly fearful’ of losing the former QPR man.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is clear that Palace do not want to sell Eze but the existence of the release clause should make this deal a fairly easy one to complete.

However, I fully expect a couple of other top sides to join Tottenham in the race for the midfielder over the coming weeks.
