Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe says that Spurs are now considering making an early approach to sign Eberechi Eze after identifying him as one of their top targets.

Tottenham want Eberechi Eze this summer

Eze has come on leaps and bounds since his switch from QPR to Crystal Palace and his impressive performances last campaign sealed his status as one of the best attackers in the Premier League.

The fact that he has made the England squad for the Euros ahead of the likes of James Maddison and Jack Grealish is a testament to how highly the 25-year-old is now rated.

An increasing number of outlets over the last few weeks have talked up Tottenham’s chances of landing the Eagles star this summer (The Sun).

Spurs are considering their next move in Eze race

O’Keefe has now taken to social media to confirm that the North London club are indeed considering moving for Eze, with the England star said to be one of Tottenham’s ‘most desired targets’ this summer.

He tweeted: ‘Tottenham are now considering their move as Eze is one of their most desired targets this summer.’

When Spurs Web reached out to O’Keefe, he further explained that the Lilywhites know what the terms of the deal are and now have to decide whether it is worth paying the amount to land the midfielder.

Spurs Web Opinion

I suspect that Postecoglou views Eze as an option for the number eight role rather than the number ten role or for the wide births.

That would be the only reason for Tottenham to consider spending £60m or more for the Palace star.
