Report: Tottenham will scout 11-goal forward at the Euros this summer

CaughtOffside have said that Tottenham Hotspur and two other Premier League sides will be keeping a close eye on how Semih Kiliscoy does at the Euros this summer before deciding whether to make a move for the Besiktas starlet.

Tottenham are interested in Kilicsoy

Kilicsoy has won many admirers since into the Besiktas senior side at the start of the 2023-24 season, with the forward ending the campaign with 11 goals and three assists to his name in 23 league appearances (Transfermarkt).

A whole host of Turkish outlets have credited Spurs with an interest in the 18-year-old, with Aksam claiming just last week that the Lilywhites and Newcastle are both plotting moves for the player.

Euros performances will be crucial for Kilicsoy

The centre-forward is expected to play a big part for Turkey at the European Championship and according to CaughtOffside, Tottenham, Manchester City and Arsenal will all be watching how the youngster performs in the high-pressure tournament.

The report claims that the teenager is also on the radars of Bayer Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Bayern Munich, PSG and Monaco, who are all thought to be monitoring developments.

The publication states that Besiktas will demand somewhere between €25m-€30m (£21m-£25.2m) for the striker.

However, it is explained that they might be forced to drop their price if the youngster struggles in Germany this summer.

I am usually not a fan of clubs pursuing players based on their performances in major international tournaments but in Kiliscoy’s case, it makes a lot of sense.

Not only would clubs be watching closely to see how he does against top-quality opposition but his performances at the Euros will also give them some indication about his temperament.
