Report: Crystal Palace name price for star player this summer – Spurs were linked

The Mirror have revealed that Crystal Palace are demanding a mammoth fee for rumoured Tottenham target Michael Olise after Chelsea made a move for the winger.

Tottenham were linked with Michael Olise

Olise is expected to be one of the most sought-after attacking players across the Premier League this summer on the back of his stellar 2023-24 season at Selhurst Park.

It was reported by HITC earlier this year that the 22-year-old was on Tottenham’s radar and that the North London club had already reached out over his availability but since then, the speculation linking the player with a switch to the Lilywhites has died down.

A couple of days ago, GiveMeSport claimed that Chelsea had made the first move for Olise and had even agreed personal terms with the player ahead of a potential transfer.

This has now been backed up by The Mirror, who say that it is the Blues who have become the first club to act as they are determined to bring Olise to Stamford Bridge.

The report makes no mention of Spurs but suggests that Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool are also circling over the Palace star.

The publication adds that the Eagles have made it clear that they will only listen to offers in the £60m-£70m range for their star man.

Spurs Web Opinion

Based on the reports over the last few weeks, it would seem as if Tottenham have pulled out of the race for Olise.

I am quite surprised by that development as I believe that the 22-year-old would be a better addition to the Lilywhites than his Palace teammate Eberechi Eze.
