Another said: “Very unfair on the opposition! Absolutely top quality player!!!”

And another said: “Great addition, fellas.”

One remarked: “Wow has to be a joke surely. What a signing had to look to see if it was April 1.”

Another chimed in: “Unreal signing.”

Who are these famous footballers?

Westfield play in the Mid Sussex Premier Division, the seventh step of non-league and 11th of the full English pyramid.

Daniels started his career in the youth team at Tottenham before he had spells at Chesterfield, Leyton Orient and Gillingham.

The left-back joined Bournemouth on loan in 2011, turning the move into a permanent one and remained there until 2020.

During that time, Daniels helped the south coast club win promotion to the Prem in 2015 alongside Cook, who still plays for QPR, and he will be sponsored by his close pal.

After leaving the Vitality Stadium, Daniels turned out for Shrewsbury Town, Portsmouth and Colchester United.

Daniels retired in 2022 and is also under-21 boss at Championship outfit Watford.

Gosling meanwhile joined the south coast club in 2014 after starting his career at Plymouth and spells at Everton, Newcastle and a loan spell at Blackpool.

He left Bournemouth in 2021 to join Watford, where he was released in 2023.

A brief spell at Notts County from January to the end of the season followed before Gosling retired in May before his shock comeback.
