Report: Spurs are plotting a move for a centre-forward with 21 goals this season

According to talkSPORT, Tottenham Hotspur are now considering swooping for Bournemouth centre-forward Dominic Solanke.

Solanke has come of age at the Vitality Stadium this season, finishing the campaign with 21 goals and four assists across all competitions, which is an outstanding achievement when one considers the fact that the Cherries finished in the bottom half of the table.

It has now been revealed by talkSPORT that Spurs are exploring the market for a number nine after Ange Postecoglou gave the green light for the club to cash in on Richarlison.

Tottenham are interested in Dominic Solanke

It is explained that Solanke is one of the players that Tottenham have identified as a potential replacement for the Brazilain, with the Lilywhites said to have been impressed by the striker’s displays in the South Coast.

With the former Liverpool man’s stock now quite high, it is alleged that Bournemouth owner Bill Foley would be willing to cash in on his this summer.

However, the outlet points out that the 26-year-old is contracted to Andoni Iraola’s side until 2027, which is why it would take a ‘hefty bid’ to prise him away.

Spurs Web Opinion

Solanke would be a decent addition for Spurs as long as Bournemouth’s asking price is not too high. It would make little sense for Tottenham to pay around £50m for the Englishman as there are better options available at that price range.
